I was in Duluth for a figure skating competition and convinced my momther to let me bring along my cosplay. The original plan was to go on the Lakewalk around 14:00, snap a few pictures, and then take pictures with the statues around the town.
We stayed at the competition longer than intended, rushed over to the Hampton Inn, changed, and by the time we got outside, it was 16:45. I was worried it was going to be dark.
The sun was setting and there was a slight breeze. The view was breathtaking … and so was the -10°F windchill.
I didn’t realize how cold it was until I put on my (usually flexible) foam mask.
It cracked. I had to be careful so it didn’t break completely in half.
We took the pictures and a few videos and had to rush to a dinner reservation. Hopefully, in the spring/summer, I can go back and take some more pictures and videos in the water and with the statues.
(I added the combat boots and On Melancholy Hill gloves for warmth.)
